For years Google kept a public "cached" copy of pages it crawled, and checking the cache was a quick way to see when Googlebot last stopped by. This tool queries for a cached copy of the URLs you enter.
In 2024 Google removed the public cache link from its search results and has been retiring the cache service, so this check frequently returns no result even for well-indexed pages. A "not cached" answer here does not mean your page isn't indexed.
Use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console to see the last crawl date and the page as Google rendered it. To view old versions of a page, try the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.
